Colorado celebrated dogs as long ears



Boulder, Colo. (AP) - Harbor has more than two feet (60 cm) from the ear.
On Tuesday, black and tan Coonhound from Boulder, Colo., won the Guinness Book World Records 2012 for the "longest ears on a dog that lives."
His left ear 12.25 inches (31.12 cm) and 13.5 inches right (34.29 cm).
Owner Jennifer Wert said that when the 8-year-dog, will travel to the ear and rolled down the stairs.
These days, Wert said people often stopped to ask questions, take pictures or tug on the ear.
Tigger, Bloodhound from Illinois, who died in 2009, still holds the record for the longest ears. One is 13.5 inches (34.29 cm), and another 13.75 inches (34.92 cm).
Coonhounds use their ears to the smell.
